Kansas Recap
The Bambino grabs 1st place in Kansas
Wichita Kansas Adaptive Cycling Omnium is the longest running handcycle race on the circuit. James Watson and family have supported handcycling for over a decade. Anyone that has made the trip to Kansas can say one thing is for certain, “you’re treated like family“. The races are well organized and the food afterwards is always tasty.
Brandon “BAMBINO” Lyons is quickly rising in the ranks of MH3 national competitors as a guy to watch. Being a resident at the Olympic training center for the last year has helped develop this talented racers ability. A few races in Europe for seasoning and “BOOM” you have a mature educated predator on the start line. Brandon has been on the podium before but never top spot for an omnium. He bested the closest competitor by over three minutes in a very windy TT and from there was marked as the guy to watch. He also won the RR and Crit in dominant fashion. Next stop for the Bambino is Nationals in Augusta.
Other class winners are Gerald Cuzik in MH2 who is building points towards another circuit victory and Adaptive Adventures Michael Sales won MH4 by winning all 3 events.
