The Wheelchair Sports Inc 11th Annual Adaptive Cycling Omnium
Wheelchair Sports Inc invites you to participate in the Adaptive Cycling Omnium, June 3, 2016 through June 5, 2016. Please review the following information regarding the race weekend and contact us if you have any questions.
Available stipends for athletes:
WSI Hotel Stipend equal to one night stay per participant during dates 6/2/16 through 6/5/16 at designated race hotel. You are responsible for booking your own rooms for the weekend and making roommate arrangements. If you need help finding a roommate email us. You will receive hotel bill credit or compensation from WSI at the event.
US Paralympic Cycling Series Stipend for athletes with spinal cord injuries. To qualify, an athlete must: have a spinal cord injury, be a U.S. citizen, and be one of the first 50 to register for the event. Athletes may receive funding for up to three events. Amounts will vary by event based on total eligible participants, but should range between $100-250 per event. Friday June 3:
Adaptive Cycling Clinic 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, Clinic will be held at the United Methodist Church In Kechi KS.

Racer waiver signing and packet pick up is 5:00pm to 6:00pm. Registration is located inside the Convenience Store next to Kechi Park. Online registration will get your spot in the race. Paper registration / Waivers will still need to be signed at registration. (https://goo.gl/maps/PVYo0).
Racer Meeting: Friday 6:05PM at the Crit staging area Kechi Park.
Kechi 15k Time Trial June 3rd – 6:30 PM: Located in Kechi KS https://goo.gl/maps/PVYo0 ( 444 N Oliver St, #B, Kechi, KS 67067). Parking is next to the Convenience store at Kechi Park. Course is a fairly flat out and back route with a tight turn around. Atlanta 24 Mile Road Race: Saturday June 4, – 9 AM: The start is 419 S Main St, Atlanta, KS 67008 https://goo.gl/maps/6or9X . The race follows the rolling hill terrain of the county roads in 6 mile stretches in a clockwise loop with a few steep climbs in the last 6 miles and finishes at the start. http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/1043887015(Not a closed course) Dinner/Social 5 to 7PM @ Hotel
Criterium June 5 – 10:00 AM, Start is just north of Shelter 1 on the west side of the course. However, these rooms are all large rooms with big doors on the bathrooms. Most racers are fine in regular rooms each year. ADA specific rooms are few and on 1st come 1st serve so register early!
Dinners/Social: Racer and Staff Social Saturday evening 5 to 7PM at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Lobby & Patio.
Awards: Will be “post race” on Sunday. Awards will be given at that time. Race Support: We will have a SAG available at the Road Race. (Not responsible for any damage or loss if asked to assist). Snacks & drinks are available to participants & volunteers. Those racers with heat issues please let us know if you need volunteers to pour water or spray you at each race by 5/27/16.
Race categories: Any Para-cycling class with 3 or more racers. Categories may be added, removed, or combined as needed based on participation (including non sanctioned “foot powered Trikes”). RR & Crit will be 1 heat with all categories unless deemed otherwise necessary.
All USAC RULES APPLY. Helmets must be worn on any moving cycle. Drafting Bars required on handcycles.
